Since early childhood, Belgian violin maker Jef was fascinated by musical instruments and even started to play the violin at the young age of 2. After graduating from high school, he started studying violin making at the International Lutherie School in Antwerp. It was during this time that Jef first visited the Ihle violins Workshop for a short trial. Three years later, in 2022 Jef joined Ihle Violins full time.

As well as his passion for instrument making – Jef enjoys a rich array of adventurous interests such as Paragliding, and frequent solo camping trips!
